OCI Platform Engineering & Security
Create an Oracle Cloud foundation that is secure, resilient and practical to operate.
An Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) tenancy can be created quickly; a dependable enterprise platform takes more judgement. Identity, network boundaries, connectivity, environments, resilience, monitoring, recovery and cost controls need to work together and remain understandable as new workloads, applications and teams are introduced.
Namos designs and improves OCI foundations around the services they must support and the controls your organisation needs. Oracle’s Well-Architected Framework and landing-zone guidance provide valuable reference points, but they must be applied proportionately to your workloads, risks and operating model.
Our customers work directly with Oracle specialists who connect platform decisions to migration, security, integration, application delivery and ongoing support.
Namos OCI and Oracle security health checks
A health check provides an independent assessment of an existing environment or proposed design. It can support cloud readiness, audit preparation, a change in operating model, investigation following an incident or a wider security and optimisation programme.
Architecture and governance
Review tenancy structure, compartments, regions, tagging, policies, standards, ownership and alignment between the platform and the workloads it supports.
Identity and application access
Review federation, MFA, privileged and external access, role design and assignments, segregation of duties, inactive or excessive permissions, sensitive-data access and joiner, mover and leaver processes. Where relevant, the review can identify potential licensing exposure created by role or access design.
Network, integration and data protection
Review segmentation, public exposure, connectivity, security lists or network security groups, encryption, keys, secrets, integration security and the protection of backups and replicated data.
Monitoring, resilience and response
Review logging, audit retention, alerts, backup, recovery testing, patching, resource ownership, capacity, cost and whether the right teams can detect and act on material events.
The engagement combines configuration and documentation review with focused stakeholder workshops. Findings are translated into prioritised actions and decision points, distinguishing immediate exposure from planned improvement. Namos can also provide a remediation roadmap or hands-on specialist support where required.
