Pride Mobility: How Partnership Transformed Oracle Cloud in Complex Manufacturing

Pride Mobility

About PRIDE MOBILITY

Pride Mobility is a global designer and manufacturer of mobility products, supporting people with mobility needs to live more independent and active lives. Founded in the United States in 1986, the organisation has grown into a worldwide business with operations across North America, Europe, and other international markets.

The company designs and manufactures a wide range of products, including power chairs, mobility scooters, and lift and recline chairs. Many of these products are used in healthcare and public sector settings, including provision to the NHS.

In the UK, Pride Mobility operates a manufacturing and distribution facility in Bicester, Oxfordshire, supporting both domestic and European operations. A defining characteristic of Pride’s business is the higher level of product customisation required, with many mobility devices built to individual prescriptions based on specific clinical and user needs. This creates a complex manufacturing, supply chain, and financial environment, where systems must accurately reflect real-world variations.

CHALLENGE

Pride Mobility had begun implementing Oracle Cloud with a third-party partner. However, progress was slow and frustrations were growing across the business. Language barriers, time zone differences, and a lack of on-site presence made it difficult for the original partner to understand the day-to-day needs of the UK and European teams.

The implementation had left core areas, particularly finance and manufacturing, in a fragile state. Staff confidence was low and, in some cases, negative experience with the system had led to team members leaving. It became clear that Pride needed a new approach: one focused on adoption, support, and an understanding of how the business really worked on the ground.

 SOLUTION AT A GLANCE

  • Oracle Cloud ERP, with modules across Finance and Supply Chain Management (SCM)
  • System Health Check and review of implementation approach
  • Reconfiguration of key areas, including finance processes and manufacturing flows
  • On-site collaboration with the team in Bicester
  • Quick-win fixes to enable inactive features and correct misconfigurations
  • Targeted training and support to improve adoption
  • Transition to ongoing Managed Services for continuous improvement

“Bringing Namos on board was a turning point for us. They understood our challenges straight away and helped us move forward in a way that felt collaborative, not disruptive. The team really listened, and I honestly believe that if they’d been involved earlier we’d have avoided a lot of delays and frustration. What stood out most was their ability to turn a difficult experience into something the business could actually get behind.”  – Stephen Wright, Operations Director at Pride Mobility

THE NAMOS APPROACH

Recognising the scale of the challenge, Namos began with an on-site Health Check, meeting teams face-to-face at Pride Mobility’s site in Bicester. Rather than jumping straight into reconfiguration, the team focused first on listening, understanding how departments were using the system, what processes had changed, and where the biggest frustrations were.

This early collaboration helped us assess both the technical setup and the lived experience of staff. The team uncovered misconfigurations, inactive features, and inconsistent ways of working across departments. By approaching this phase with empathy and clarity, we laid the groundwork for stabilising the system and restoring trust in its potential.

STABILISATION AND QUICK WINS

One of the priorities was to activate key parts of the system that had been overlooked. As Mike Hall, Assistant Operations Manager at Pride Mobility explained, “There were modules that hadn’t been activated, and elements of setup that simply weren’t configured correctly.” These fixes became the first in a series of practical, visible improvements.

Working alongside the internal team, Namos delivered quick wins by correcting configurations, restoring access, and walking staff through more efficient ways of working. With each small success, confidence grew. What had previously felt unfamiliar and unreliable was becoming structured, usable, and aligned to how the business actually operated.

ONGOING MANAGED SERVICES

Following the initial stabilisation work, Pride Mobility transitioned into a managed service arrangement with Namos, designed to provide responsive support, flexible resourcing, and ongoing improvements tailored to their needs.

From the start, Namos adapted to the reality of Pride’s environment, a system that hadn’t been set up correctly, with significant configuration gaps and users still building confidence. Rather than forcing a fixed model, Namos provided a service that flexed to where Pride was at, supporting day-to-day fixes while also working to identify areas for longer-term optimisation.

With a UK-based support team and a deep understanding of how the business operates, Namos became a steady and trusted  presence. From real-time issue resolution and guidance on best practice, the focus remained on helping Pride get the most from Oracle Cloud in a way that worked for their teams. Whether responding to immediate needs or planning for future improvements, eNlighten Managed Services continues to evolve in line with Pride Mobility’s goals.

THE RESULTS

With Namos’ support, Pride Mobility saw a visible shift in both system performance and user confidence. Finance processes became more reliable and Manufacturing lead times were reduced to their lowest ever levels.

By taking a flexible, human approach, Namos helped Pride not just fix a system, but build a foundation for adoption stability and ongoing success.

“The difference Namos made was clear from the start. Our teams went from frustration and firefighting to actually wanting to use the system, and for a business like ours, where everything’s custom-built, that’s no small thing. Our lead times are now the best they’ve ever been. It was the mix of technical know-how and on-site support that made it work. They weren’t just fixing the system, they were working with us.”   – Mike Hall, Assistant Operations Manager at Pride Mobility
