OCI AI Agents

Practical, governed Oracle AI agents built on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, with the Namos OCI RAG Agent available today

AI creates the greatest value when it is applied to a clear business need and supported by trusted information, appropriate controls and a sustainable operating model.

Many organisations recognise the potential of AI but find it difficult to move from experimentation to practical use. General-purpose AI tools may sit outside core systems, draw on information the organisation does not control and create uncertainty around accuracy, security, governance and ongoing support.

Namos helps Oracle customers overcome these challenges by designing, deploying and supporting Oracle AI Agents on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. These agents can be shaped around specific organisational needs, from improving access to trusted knowledge to supporting users through business processes and routine activities.

The two approaches are complementary. Fusion-native AI can enhance work within Fusion processes, while OCI AI Agents provide greater flexibility to address organisation-specific requirements.

Namos’ OCI AI Agent capability

Namos brings together Oracle functional knowledge, OCI architecture, integration, data, security and managed services expertise to help organisations turn AI opportunities into governed, usable solutions.

Our capability extends beyond a single agent. It includes:

  • Identifying and prioritising practical AI use cases
  • Designing the appropriate Oracle AI agents and user experiences
  • Preparing approved knowledge and data sources
  • Configuring OCI services, access and governance controls
  • Integrating agents with relevant Oracle and enterprise systems
  • Testing, deployment, onboarding and knowledge transfer
  • Ongoing support, optimisation and managed change

This provides the foundation for a growing portfolio of OCI AI Agents. Each agent can be developed around a defined organisational need while drawing on a consistent, secure and supportable Oracle Cloud architecture.

The Namos OCI RAG Agent

The Namos OCI RAG Agent is the packaged solution currently available within Namos’ wider OCI AI Agent capability.

It gives users a natural-language way to find trusted answers from approved organisational documents, policies, procedures and guidance. Instead of relying on general AI knowledge, the Agent retrieves relevant information from a controlled knowledge base and uses that content to produce a contextual response.

Documents can include Finance and Procurement policies, HR guidance, IT support materials, compliance procedures, onboarding information and operational manuals. As policies and documents change, the controlled knowledge base can be updated so that the Agent continues to work from current, approved information.

The OCI RAG Agent gives Finance, HR and operational teams a quicker and more intuitive way to find information, understand guidance and answer recurring questions without manually searching across multiple documents and systems.

How Namos helps

Namos configures the OCI RAG Agent around your organisation’s agreed use case, approved knowledge sources, access requirements and governance model.

We work with your teams to define what the Agent should know, how users should access it and how responses should be controlled and tested. Our UK-based Oracle specialists then manage configuration, deployment, user acceptance testing, onboarding and knowledge transfer.

The Agent can begin with a focused knowledge area or department and expand as additional documents, audiences and business requirements are identified. Namos also provides the managed support and change process needed to keep the Agent secure, relevant and aligned with the continuing development of Oracle’s AI and OCI capabilities.

What it does

Each OCI RAG Agent is configured around an agreed use case, approved knowledge sources, user groups and governance requirements. Users can ask questions in natural language and receive contextual responses based on the information their organisation has chosen to make available to the Agent.

Namos manages knowledge-source scoping, configuration, testing, onboarding and deployment through a defined implementation work package. Our UK-based Oracle specialists support your team through user acceptance testing, knowledge transfer and sign-off before the Agent goes live.

The capability can begin with a focused use case and expand over time as additional knowledge areas, documents, audiences and integration requirements are identified.

How the RAG Agent works

  • AI-powered query response – Teams across the organisation get fast, contextualised answers to routine questions about processes, policies and procedures.
  • Contextual process guidance – Surfaces relevant policies, procedures and guidance to help users understand the appropriate next steps.
  • Configurable knowledge library – You control what the agent knows, pulling from your own documents, policies and process guides
  • Oracle-aligned security – Built on OCI and delivered using Oracle-supported security controls, with secure connectivity, controlled access and audit support
  • Continuous improvement – Product updates and enhancements are managed in line with the continuing evolution of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Oracle AI services.

Benefits of the RAG Agent

Oracle AI agents help users find answers based on your organisation’s own documents, policies and process guidance, rather than relying on generic AI responses or disconnected information.

Give Finance, HR and operational teams a faster way to answer recurring questions, freeing specialists to focus on more complex activity.

Shape the agent around agreed use cases, knowledge sources, access requirements and ways of working, so responses reflect the information your organisation controls.

Use Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to support secure deployment, controlled access and governance, with Namos providing implementation and managed support.

Extend the product over time as Oracle’s AI capability develops and new use cases, knowledge areas and process integrations are identified.
