The conventional ways of developing mobile or web apps are too costly and take too long for business needs. This all changes with the Oracle app dev platform.
The Oracle app dev platform is an integrated, modern, and API-first cloud platform for app dev. It lets your front-end developers build the most engaging user experiences, while enabling your backend developers to build APIs that easily connect to systems on-prem or in the cloud.
It supports all workloads, applications, languages, open source tools, OS platforms and data types. And its container architecture lets you lift and shift apps with no changes between private, public and hybrid clouds as well as between the cloud and your on-prem infrastructure. Your dev staff can spin up and tear down development environments in minutes – not days or weeks like they do now. The result? Fast, efficient dev/ops that save you money, make you more productive and reduce your development backlog. Here’s an overview of the Oracle app development platform’s key benefits.

Under the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS), contractors deduct money from a subcontractor’s payments and pass it to HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC). The deductions count as advance payments towards the subcontractor’s tax and National Insurance. Contractors must register for the scheme. Subcontractors don’t have to register, but deductions are taken from their payments at a higher rate if they’re not registered.
Why is the solution needed?
Oracle eBusiness Suite had a fully integrated solution using custom table triggers and purpose-built reports. Oracle SaaS cloud does not have that capability, so no solution exists within the cloud. Furthermore, there is no plans to release the functionality in the cloud so “you are on your own”! Until now!
Namos Solution Offering
The Oracle ERP Cloud bolt-on solution allows contractors to automate the creation of the mandatory verification and submission files for HMRC CIS payments – transmitted directly from your Oracle ERP Cloud environment directly to HMRC. The system also allows users to submit CIS300 and complete CIS Verifications which is an important process that is required to determine what tax to apply to the subcontractor, for example 30%, 20% or 0%.
How does it work?
Together with our trusted partner eFileReady, who are e-filing specialists, we have created a simple 5 step process to ensure seamless integration and efficient submission.
The user sends the CIS data from the Namos CIS solution through to eFileReady which further validates the data and submits it to HMRC. The user will thereafter receive a notification via email as to whether the submission has been successful or not. If successful, the user will receive an eFiling certificate, evidence that the data went through successfully. If the user receives an error response, they will be able to view the details of that error and make the necessary corrections in their source data (ERP system) and thereafter resubmit the data.
Many other systems can only advise of data errors when the HMRC rejection message arrives. Those systems clog up HMRC’s Server, leading to considerable delays and frustration.
