Oracle 25C – Recruiting and Recruiting Booster

Author:  Matthew Hancock, HCM Consultant at Namos Solutions

Oracle 25C is here and there are some sizzling summer updates for Recruiting and Recruiting Booster. This latest quarterly release is really turning up the heat with a fresh batch of features and enhancements designed to boost efficiency and improve the user experience for Hiring Managers and Recruiters. Check out my key highlights below!

Redwood Adoption

Redwood becomes the go-to experience for Recruiting Cloud, with this release reinforcing Redwood as the primary interface. This includes Offer Management, Interview Management and Campaigns. Although Oracle introduced a second date for the adoption of these pages, early adoption does ensure you have full access to all the new features including AI (and means less sweating later!).

The remaining pages within Oracle Recruiting retains the 25C adoption date. This includes Requisition Management, Job Application Management, and Candidate Management. Whilst the Responsive UI does not vanish overnight, Oracle Support may point you towards these Redwood pages for any issue resolution.

Create Candidate with Resume Parsing

Recruiters can now upload a resume, within the Redwood candidate creation flow, that pre-fills the candidate profile. A preview step ensures accuracy, and parsed skills/qualifications can be included or excluded as needed. This is a great time saver as not only does the Hiring Manager or Recruiter not have to manually enter information, but they can also create a more complete profile on behalf of the candidate.

A point to note, you must have a resume parsing integration enabled to leverage this feature.

Create a Job Offer

Another fantastic addition to the Redwood recreated pages is the introduction of the new job offer creation flow. Key updates when transitioning to this page include:

  • The Proposed Start Date field is blank. It does not default to the system date.
  • The Business Unit and Position fields are available in the Basic info section instead of the Assignment info section. This change was made in all the global HR flows to keep the behaviour consistent across HCM products.
  • New Position Override Section introduced to allow Recruiters to flexibly override default position values.
  • Payroll Section Visible by Default: No additional configuration needed to display payroll fields.
  • Offer Letters in Candidate’s Preferred Language: Templates auto-populate with appropriate language.
  • Preview and AI Assistant: Review offers live and leverage an integrated assistant for guidance (my personal favourite)

With the updated flow, allowing users to jump between optional sections in any order and the new preview feature allowing users to review the job offer while they are creating or editing it, are sure to be a hit with our ORC customers. Another enhancement, saving valuable time and boosting overall efficiency with less clicks.

Automated Feedback Requests

One of the most requested features is available in Redwood from 25C. Recruiting teams can now configure the system to automatically request feedback at specific stages of the candidate selection process. Hurrah! A new action is available called Request Feedback and you can add this action on any phase or state.

- 3 Automated Feedback Requests

When you provide feedback, using the new Provide Feedback action, you can view information about the job application and the requisition by clicking the links at the top of the page. A drawer opens where you can preview the job application or requisition.

- 4 Provide Feedback

It does not end there, because not only can you respond to requested feedback, but also the new action, allows users to provide unsolicited feedback, making it easier and a more flexible way to rate candidates and provide comments for a job application.

Generative AI: Smarter Job Application Ratings

Another major spotlight of 25C is the AI-derived candidate scoring. Building on those capabilities delivered in 25B, the new AI enhancements rate candidates based on resume content, providing faster, consistent screening scores that help Recruiters focus on top talent. Key features include:

  • Resume Parsing + Ratings: Candidate resumes are parsed automatically to extract skills, experience, and education. The system uses this to compute AI ratings for each application which is then viewable in the Job Applications list.
- 5 Resume Parsing and Ratings
  • Clickable Ratings & Rich Summaries: Click a score bar to launch a generative AI–powered summary panel, summarising key resume highlights.
- 6 Clickable Ratings and Rich Summaries
  • Filter & Sort by Rating: Recruiters can filter applications by specific AI rating metrics for efficiency.
  • Configurable Weightings: Admins can adjust how much weight is given to education, skills, and experience in the AI score, and recruiters can re run scoring based on new configurations.

Customisable Navigation Tabs

Customers can now control the tabs on the Recruiting landing page in Redwood. You can decide to display or hide tabs on the navigation bar and set the order of the tabs, all via Visual Builder Studio, giving recruiters a streamlined experience.

- 7 navigation bar
- 8 page properties

This is also true for the tabs on the Job Requisition Details Page where you can configure based on your business needs.

- 9 Job Requisition Details Page

New Candidate Sourcing Tile

The homepage now separates candidate sourcing and hiring tasks into two clear tiles from this latest release. The “Hiring” tile has been split into the following:

  • Hiring: includes Activity Center, Requisitions, Offers
  • Candidate Sourcing: includes Candidate Search, Pools, Messages, Campaigns, Events
- 10 Candidate Sourcing

Note the tile visibility will depend on your security roles.

Defaulting and Validation Rules for Create Requisition and Create Job Offer Flows

Another long-awaited feature has officially landed in Redwood too. Customers will now have the ability to fully define and manage field defaulting and validation rules via Business Rules in Visual Builder Studio (VBS). This upgrade replaces the previous autocomplete‑based approach and enhances control in both the Requisition and Job Offer workflows.

You will be able to default salary ranges from job grade, auto-populate recruiter/hiring manager fields, set currency based on location, and more in the Requisition. Plus, configure Business Rules to auto‑default values in key offer fields, such as Payroll, Start Date, Position Data, or Offer Letter templates based on business unit, location, recruiting type, or country. Another welcomed addition allowing Hiring Managers and Recruiters to work smarter and faster.

Conclusion

In summary, Oracle Recruiting 25C continues a clear path toward a fully modernised, AI-assisted hiring experience. With Redwood UI becoming the standard and intelligent features like AI ratings and interview automation taking centre stage, Recruiting teams will be able to prioritise their top talent faster.
