The latest Namos User Group brought our Oracle community together high above Birmingham at x+why, 103 Colmore Row – a super lovely, modern 18th‑floor space with sweeping views, great coffee, and a roof terrace that would have been perfect in the sunshine.
Instead, we got the full British summer: heavy rain, sideways wind, even hailstones. But in true NUG style, the energy in the room never dipped, and the sun (and a rainbow!) appeared just in time for afternoon drinks on the terrace.
Over the afternoon we followed a clear path from Insight to Impact – about AI with purpose, analytics with impact, and the long‑term partnership approach that defines Namos.

AI You Can Trust – Built on the Foundations You Already Have
Ross Walker (Oracle Customer Success) kicked us off with one of the strongest messages of the day – the reassurance that Fusion AI is secure by design.
- Customer data stays within your tenancy
- No customer data is used to train Oracle’s models
- Existing roles, access controls, and security structures remain fully intact
For many organisations, this is critical.
If you’ve already gone through the complexity of defining access and governance during your Fusion implementation, you’ve done the hard work.
That clarity changes the conversation. It moves AI from something to be questioned… to something that can be confidently adopted.
From ESG Obligation to Data‑Led Opportunity
Kate Hutchinson (Oracle Principal Solutions) and Andrew Curley (Namos Financials Practice Lead) then shifted the conversation into ESG – not as a reporting burden, but as a discipline of data and insight.
We explored how Oracle’s ESG capabilities can bring structure and governance to what is often a fragmented, manual process.
With the right analytics in place, ESG becomes:
- Less about compliance
- More about visibility
- And ultimately, about better decision‑making
The theme of – data → insight → action a consistent thread throughout the day.

Reimagining Analytics with Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI)
We closed out the afternoon with a hands‑on exploration of Fusion Data Intelligence expertly guided by Daniel Ryan (Namos Analytics and Reporting Practice Director) and teamLogging into a live environment, getting a feel for the Oracle Digital Assistant powered search bar and asking it questions using natural language, and then seeing the analytics respond instantly with dashboards, charts, and insights.
Analytics becomes a conversation not a technical exercise. We experienced the fluidity of FDI, saw how users can refine questions, change direction, and drill deeper without losing context. We brought together data from ERP, expenses, headcount from HCM and even a non fusion dataset of employee satisfaction marks within a single workbook and saw how Oracle FDI stands out: not siloed reporting, but true cross‑pillar intelligence.
The Namos Difference: Designed for Long‑Term Partnership
Threaded through every conversation was a defining principle: At Namos, we build partnerships, not transactions. Customer loyalty isn’t something we leave to chance. It’s something we deliberately design for.
- We stay with customers long after go‑live
- We create environments like the NUG for shared learning and innovation
- We support customers as they explore AI, ESG, and the full value of their Oracle estate
This is what enables organisations to move at pace, their pace with confidence.
As the sun finally broke through and guests stepped out onto the terrace, the mood was energised, connected, and full of possibility.

This NUG wasn’t about showcasing features. It was about helping customers understand how to apply AI and analytics in a way that delivers real, purpose‑led value. Securely, confidently, and with the right partner alongside them.
Insight is powerful. But insight that leads to action – that’s impact.
